Apple names best apps of 2016

Apple reveals its list of best apps for mobiles and Apple TV. The annual list includes applications, audio, video and other kinds of digital content. Prisma, a popular photo editing tool, tops the list of apps for iPhone, while iPad users favored Sketchbook Motion. Twitter became the most downloaded app for Apple TV, and Clash Royale was chosen the game of the year.

Russian top looks slightly different, although Prisma is an absolute leader here too. A product of Russian developers that makes photos look like paintings of the world-famous artists, it made a splash in June 2016 and has been a growing success since.

Prisma is followed by MSQRD, an app that allows you to change your face in the video by adding different masks and effects (the users particularly liked the faces of celebrities).

The top closes with Periodika that offers customers a range of ways to print out pictures made by mobile gadgets (flyers, books etc.). Below go Istochnik (the Source), a tool for investors that helps to quickly manage financial instruments; Listen to audiobooks that offers subscribers a choice from 3 thousand books; and Patternator that creates custom patters for mobile covers.

A last-year’s winner Citymapper came out only the 7th most popular app of 2016. It suggests the most convenient ways of travelling through the city using the data on traffic and routes of public transport.
